Winter Edition
As winter settles in, I wanted to pause and reflect on what’s been unfolding at Intrepid Water over the past few months, and offer a glimpse of what’s taking shape in the season ahead.
In Swimbound, my five-month virtual coaching program that culminates in an in-person open-water experience, we’re in week 15 — building confidence for longer durations, experimenting with fueling while swimming, and learning how tempo and stroke count can expand capacity without force. With our time together in Dominica just around the corner, there’s a palpable sense of steadiness and trust growing in the water. Alongside this, I’ll be welcoming my first cohort into The Swim Continuum — a virtual space for swimmers who want ongoing guidance, shared rhythm, and support as they prepare for their own swims this summer.
If you’ve been sensing a pull to experience this work more fully — in water, with skilled guidance — here are a few opportunities that you don’t want to miss: I’ll be joining SwimMastery founder and Master Coach Tracey Baumann in the Sea of Cortez, and closer to home I’m offering a new series of Saturday clinics at Rogue X. We begin with Find Ease in the Water in February, followed by The Speed Code Series in March, April, and May — a three-part progression exploring how speed emerges not from trying harder, but from better orientation, alignment, and timing. I’ll also be in Portland on April 18th for two in-person opportunities to transform your swimming.
Whether you’ve been swimming alongside us, reflecting quietly from the edges, or simply letting these ideas land where they may, I’m glad you’re here.
With gratitude,
