What We Do

Most swimmers arrive here looking to fix something — their stroke, their endurance, their confidence in open water.

What they find is usually something else entirely.

Intrepid Water offers coaching, community, and open-water experiences for adult swimmers ready to begin — or begin again. Come as you are. The water will take care of the rest.

Our Values

We meet you where you are. No ideal starting point. No prerequisites. The work begins exactly where you are — in your body, in your relationship with water, in this season of your life.

We value presence over performance. Progress here is real, but it’s a byproduct of attention, not pressure. We’re not interested in optimizing you. We’re interested in returning you to yourself.

We’re better together. Swimming is often solitary. The practice here isn’t. Community is part of what makes this work — the shared effort, the honest conversation, the people who understand why this matters.

Excellent

I highly recommend Shannon, I started as an anxious swimmer but am now swimming more smoothly, efficiently and with a better connection to the water. She can help you wherever you are at in your journey.

Highly Recommended

I have made incredible progress on my stroke since working with Shannon and using Swim Mastery techniques.  I am swimming much more efficiently and injury free.  By focusing on my stroke I’ve been able to drop my 100 yard time by over 15 seconds!   I am an adult swimmer with several big swimming goals.  Shannon is patient, full of resources and support.  I look forward to working with Shannon for a long time!
