Hey there,
June is here—and with it, a new theme inside The Water’s Edge: Marathon Mindset.
Marathon Mindset isn’t just a set of thoughts—it’s the story we tell ourselves about what we can handle and who we can become when the goal is far off, the water gets rough, or we’re deep in the middle of the journey. It shows up when we’re tired, afraid, or unsure—and when we choose to keep going anyway. It’s the kind of mindset that helps us trust the process, lean into uncertainty, and stay open to what’s possible—in the water and in life.
In the community, I’ve been sharing how I’m preparing for a 50-mile swim in August—not just as a personal challenge, but as a living practice of everything I’ve learned along the way. It’s not about the distance alone. It’s about embracing the freedom water offers when we commit to changing age-old habits and learn to move safely in this unstable, yet supportive medium. It’s also about honoring the demands of an aging, perimenopausal body—while showing up as a mom, wife, and entrepreneur.
Inside Mighty this month, we’re diving into what it means to train our Marathon Mindset—unlocking more ease, more trust, and more freedom in movement and in life.
Whether you’re already active in the community, have been thinking about joining, or haven’t checked in for a while—now’s a great time to wade in (or back in). Alongside weekly intention-setting, check-in chats, and Q&A sessions, we have two BONUS calls this month!
You don’t have to be fast. You don’t even have to be swimming right now. You just have to be curious about what the water (and your own mind) might be ready to teach you.
Come join us at The Water’s Edge. We’re doing more than training our minds and our bodies—we’re learning to live our fullest, richest lives. And I’d love to have you with us.
Join us at The Water’s Edge.
With you,
Shannon
P.S. Got a friend who’s into swimming, mindset, or just figuring things out as they go? Forward this to them—we’d love to have them in the mix.
P.S.S. Already a member? Love it. Remember: the more you put in, the more this community gives back.
