How do you get ready?
There’s something powerful about the quiet work that comes before a big swim—the unseen, often uncelebrated process of getting ready. That’s our theme this month inside The Water’s Edge—a community for curious swimmers who believe the water holds lessons about themselves, their limits, and their potential.
Investigating those edges requires more than fitness. It asks for presence, patience, and a plan. Preparation isn’t about proving anything—it’s the bridge between where you are and where you want to go. It’s how we become ready, bit by bit, to meet the moment when it arrives.
That readiness comes from time in the water, yes—but also from the strength you build on land, the meals that fuel you, the cold that teaches you how to stay calm, the crew you trust, the route you study, and the mindset you rehearse again and again. It’s all part of the foundation. And it’s what allows you to show up steady—no matter what the water brings.
Curious about what it feels like to be part of this?
Tomorrow, we’re kicking things off with a BONUS call on Strength Training and Nutrition at 4 PM Pacific / 7 PM Eastern—tools that support your body so you can stay steady in the water (and beyond).
This is a great moment to jump in, ask questions, and see how this community can support your growth—in and out of the water.
Join us at The Water’s Edge.
Let preparation become an act of trust in what’s to come.
See you in the water,
Shannon
